Get ready for an evening of extraordinary musical talent as we celebrate Misha Maisky's 75th jubilee with a one-of-a-kind concert in the heart of Brussels, presented by the Brussels Muzieque platform. Join us as we pay tribute to one of the most influential cellists of our time and his life dedicated to the art of music.
This year marks not only Mischa's 75th birthday but also 50 years since he emigrated from the USSR and embarked on his career in the West. This musical celebration will include three of Mischa's children, Lily and Sascha Maisky who complete the Maisky Trio along with their brother Maxim on piano. In addition to the Maisky family, special guests and cellists of the younger generation Marie Hallynck, Alexandre Debrus and Eduardo Tonietto will join Mischa for some Cello Quartets. The evening's program features works by Handel, Bach, Schubert, Brahms and Shostakovich.
